"印象" or Yin Xiàng, meaning "impression" in English, serves as the inspiration for this project.
The focus of this invitation design centers around renowned fashion designer, Guo Pei, who seeks to challenge the misconception that Chinese fashion lacks authenticity, often overshadowed by the prevalence of counterfeits and Western influences. Through her creations, Guo Pei aims to showcase Chinese nationalism and establish Chinese fashion as genuine and original. The concept of this invitation design aligns with Guo Pei's vision by leaving a lasting and positive cultural impression within the fashion industry.
The direct mailer encompasses various components, serving both as an invitation and an attention-grabbing OE (Outer envelope). It includes the RSVP card, accompanied by a tri-fold informational booklet that unfolds into a captivating poster. As the event approaches, a separate save-the-date is mailed to the guests. Additionally, personalized guest badges containing exhibition details will be presented to attendees upon their arrival at the event.
